IC Information;
Character Name; Amelia Jessica Pond
Canon; Doctor Who
Canon Point; The Doctor's Wife (6x04)
Age; 22

House; Freyr. Amy spent a good part of her life as a "dreamer" with her head in the clouds. She saw a great beauty of the greater things when the Doctor entered her life. With all of time and space suddenly offered into her hands, she plants to never let go.
Power; Drawing Life. She spent a good deal of her childhood keeping the image of the Doctor alive and in her life. In various drawings and crafts, she let the Raggedy Doctor follow her into adulthood. So, she draws life.

Personality; An easy way to describe Amelia Pond: Impossible.

Her early life is simply mad. You can’t forget mad, it’s a trait that completes her. To keep things short and sweet: Scottish girl is trapped in a small British village, meets a strange man with a Blue Box, and retrieves therapy about meeting this “imaginary” man. ( The Eleventh Hour ) Although seemingly impossible, it’s important to remember that Amy Pond is a believer. Impossible suddenly isn’t a word, she’s the woman to cast her eyes from the ground and look towards the sky. She’s Amelia Pond and she always wants more than idle life can offer her.

That can easily lead to a flaw, but hey, what’s wrong with being a bit adventurous? She’s one to jump into something “fun,” such as the pool of blinking stars, the great wonders of space and time. ( Not one to yell “Geronimo” as often, but boy, it’s obvious she enjoys it ) Could be literal, but she simply steps into the TARDIS when there isn’t something to run and scream about. Amy Pond is a confident woman, she’s a time traveler’s Companion and she knows it. She suffered through the idle life of a kissogram and as a simple girlfriend to Rory Williams, but the Doctor returned and revealed her motivations to move on and live on the edge.

Despite how very grave a situation may turn, she’s quick to jump into finding a solution or lending a helping hand. Even aiding Winston Churchill, she likes to have a part in turning everything back in the right direction and being praised for being a sharp girl. One could even say she’s courageous, but it’s very easy to mistake recklessness for courage—even willing to call an alien ugly in the most unfavorable position, that’s Amy Pond for you. Think of her as a pirate, taking hold of the situation and your booty when the chance arises. She will hold her ground and say “saving your life. Got a problem with that?” ( The Curse of the Black Spot )

She can be kind. Only a human, but that leaves her with tons of empathy and capable of seeing the good in people. When there is good in them, of course. If not, she will easily given them a piece of her mind. It isn’t too difficult for her to go along and try making friends, but it’s obviously one of her lesser priorities when she isn’t sprinting off for more “fun.” Underneath that attitude and sass is a woman willing to sacrifice herself when the situation goes bad. Much like her first experience with the Doctor, she explains to him "what if you were really old, and really kind and lonely, your whole race dead. What couldn't you do then? If you were that old, and that kind, and the very last of your kind, you couldn't just stand there and watch children cry." ( The Beast Below ) Like him, she isn’t one to sit around and watch children cry, people die, and let things go. She puts herself on the line because she cares. Every person she befriends is suddenly burdened with her love and determination to keep them in arm’s reach and safe.

Now flaws, those are easy to spot. They’re like stains; you can’t keep your eye off them. For one, she’s got a sharp tongue. She will state her opinion and you will listen. Even a bit of temper, but fortunately in favor of good humor. Stubborn too, can’t forget that. Telling Amy Pond what to do will likely result in the opposite of the command. She’s a flirtatious gal, as her attraction to other men is obvious despite her engagement to Rory. ( Unless you want to include her attraction to herself at one point ) She even flirts with the Vincent Van Gogh since time apparently holds no boundaries—that instance being one where Rory Williams never existed. Time traveling really does complicate things. In summary, Amy is a big ball of emotions that is difficult to control at times.

She has a tough exterior, but she is more internally troubled than she lets on. A good part of her childhood dealt with the abandonment by her parents, aunt, and the Doctor. ( The Big Bang ) It may have been a good reason why she can be so awfully distrustful, spewing out seemingly unnecessary questions when there is a hint of doubt. And if anything else, she is still a child. Despite “growing up,” she is oblivious to many things and stalls from being settled in a mundane life on Earth. It’s true that that she has physically grown up, but traveling is Amy Pond running away. It definitely caused some rocky moments for Amy and Rory as husband and wife.

Rory Williams is an important part to Amy’s life; she is bound to mention him in some unaffectionate form. Her love for Rory has come a long way, but it’s definitely requited. She’s not the best expressing her feelings, spewing insults or picking on him like some sort of bully. But her love is genuine, it’s there, but not so much screaming and glimmering as much as her husband makes certain. At times when his existence is threatened to cease that her honest feelings are brought into the open. ( This happens on a regular basis. Rory is a death magnet. ) It’s never just “I love you,” it’s “just get your stupid face where I could see it, okay?” ( Day of the Moon )

Then there is the Doctor. The Doctor means almost everything to Amy Pond, being the major turning point of her life and best friend. She mentions him a lot. A. Lot. Got a problem? Have you heard of the Doctor? Trust is given to him, as it is obvious her admiration extends to him being the ultimate problem solver. She immediately turns to him in moments of great distress. She can be awfully hateful when results don’t show, but she is forgiving. ( Amy's Choice ) There is no way in Hell she could ever regret being the Girl Who Waited. No matter what, she keeps buggering on.

She’s mad, impossible Amy Pond.

Samples;
Network Sample; Hello?

[ A voice. Obviously alarmed, but met with a slither of annoyance. It's lingering at the back of her throat, a bubble about to pop. There's a tightness in her posture, breathing through her nose and narrowing her eyes at the audience. The red-haired woman crinkles her nose and waves at the screen. She repeats the motion ( whoosh, whoosh, whoosh ), pausing the gesture to curl her fingers. She finally sighs.

How many times is this going to happen? She should invest in a space leash. ]

Alright, working. Good. Doctor, do you hear me? This is Amy... I'm very much... [ She loses track of her statement, giving a weary eye-shift towards her surroundings. ] not near the TARDIS, not at all. I've being looking, okay? This one of those times you don't want to keep me waiting for five minutes.

Oh, Rory, it would be GREAT hearing from you too. Just me standing in the middle of "who knows where," you know. Call me. Thanks.

[ A pause. Light bulb! ]

And if that's not who I am speaking to, well, go looking for the skin and bones with the nose. [ The nose. ]  The other sporting a bowtie. He's the Doctor. The one with the bowtie, I repeat, the bowtie.

This is Amy Pond, signing out unless there's something to give. [ Barely a moment for a reasonable reply. ] No?

Log Sample; Amy Pond has been in this situation plenty of times.

So, it isn't so much a look of fear as it is a look of complete frustration. Although familiar with the concept of being lost and alone, it doesn't mean she's a fan of it. The woman simply stands there when she arrives, but it's only a matter of minutes when the decision is final: She will explore and make sense of this.

'Not chilling any spines,' her first impression. She could breathe, easily doing so.

'Ominous. Checking that off,' she adds. More welcoming than usual, it seems. The smile on her face threatens an actual good feeling for her arrival, despite being lost and alonright, there's still that. If there's anyone can be absolutely sure about Amy at first sight, whether it be a lingering glance or careful look how she stiffens in place, it's that she despises being alone. Take away her boys and you may actually wind up with something fearful. Given the impression of paradise or not, a lot can go wrong when you place Amy Pond somewhere strange.

But a lot can also go right, don't forget that. Bless her optimism.

She almost gives herself a proper pat on the back, forcing through that first step and beginning her somewhat dazed exploration of the district. They could call this adventure Amy in Wonderland.

Nah, too fairytale. If Rory comes hopping along saying "I'm late," Amy will gladly pinch herself until she's covered in bruises. None of that today, thank you.
